Music video

The video for "I Feel Better", directed by Peter Serafinowicz, was described by Pitchfork Media as "re-imag[ining] the British dance pop troupe as a well-manicured and highly choreographed group of dudes [...] who get an unexpected visitor or two during a performance before an audience of swooning young ladies."[1]

In the video, Kyng, Mar'Vaine, Octavian, and Popeye are all members of a hypothetical boyband under the name of Hot Chip. During the center of their performance they're interrupted by an unnamed man (who I'll refer to as the White Wizard [curiously, the man who plays him also hosts a children's show out of Britain]). Seeing the White Wizard attempting to disrupt their performance, Hot Chip challenges him to a fight. However, it quickly becomes apparent that the only tactical moves that Hot Chip knows are designed to make teenage female audiences swoon, and are no match.

The White Wizard quickly absorbs the souls of Mar'Vaine, Octavian, and Popeye. During Kyng's last stand, he pulls out the most powerful move he knows - removing his shirt. While it's incredibly effective versus the female audience, the White Wizard stands unfazed. After absorbing Kyng's soul as well, the White Wizard takes a moment to release the souls, now under his power. A side effect of absorbing their souls has also granted the White Wizard similar powers to the members of Hot Chip, and now he too can make female audiences swoon.

Sadly, this new power comes at a cost. The White Wizard's long time rival, Floaty-Bulging-Eye-Black-Guy, catches news of the White Wizard's newfound moves. Floaty-Bulging-Eye-Black-Guy storms into the White Wizards performance in a Jealous rage, and starts lasering everyone in sight - but not before the White Wizard makes a daring escape (albeit while losing his precious boy band).
